Coach Matt Ward is probably the loudest person in the gym. “It’s both a blessing and a curse,” he says.
He’s been CrossFitting for four years, and he’s passionate about educating new members on how much CrossFit can help them in everyday life. The thing he loves most about coaching is seeing his members have “ah-ha” moments and doing things they never thought were possible.
Matt played lacrosse in high school and college, and he is currently the assistant coach for the Greensboro College Men’s Lacrosse team. He became a CrossFit coach after he realized he was always helping new members after class anyway. “It sparked an interest in doing more than just giving tips, to actively be involved with helping people get better,” he says.
